The use of renewable raw materials is an important component for us when it comes to the sustainability of our production chain. We prefer to use VEOCEL_™ fibers to support the production of biodegradable materials.

VEOCEL_™ fibers are cellulosic fibers made from sustainably sourced and renewable wood. They are fully biodegradable and compostable at the end of their life cycle. As a sustainable alternative to fossil based plastic, VEOCEL_™ Lyocell fibers are the eco responsible choice in nonwoven applications.

Lyocell is a fiber with significantly improved physical properties. As with viscose, the starting material is pulp from sustainable forestry. However, the lyocell production process does not use any chemicals. More than 99% of the solvents used are recovered and returned to the production process in a closed cycle.

Article 03160.99 is a spunlace nonwoven made of 100% LENZING_™ Lyocell. By means of high pressure, a homogeneous entangled textile fabric (nonwoven fabric) is created.
