By using different texture drums in our spunlace process, we can emboss three dimensional structures into our entangled fibrous web. Our Norafin 3D PERFORMANCE® brand nonwovens offer various advantages depending on the application, such as:
- improved insulation
- improved wear comfort
- very good abrasive properties
- increased efficiency
We can offer our customers the following structures in our current portfolio:
- Norafin 3D PERFORMANCE® Waffle structure
- Norafin 3D PERFORMANCE® Bubble structure (large and small)

Norafin GUARDIAN® comprises our product portfolio of flame-retardant nonwovens, which are primarily used in public areas such as trains, aeroplanes and public buildings.
The word ‘Guardian’ stands for the special protection that our materials offer.
Our Norafin GUARDIAN® nonwovens are characterized by:
- fireblocking and flame resistant capabilities according to EN 45545-2, FAR 25-853 or 16 CFR Part 1633 and more
- high fire resistance
- protection against vandalism according to NF F31 118 (anti laceration test method NF F 00 201)
- low smoke toxicity and opacity
- stab protection, slash-resistance
- lightweight, high quality material constructions
Norafin ECOLINE® stands for the careful use of increasingly scarce raw materials. We work every day to develop new high-quality nonwovens through the use of renewable, biodegradable fibers.
The fibers used in Norafin ECOLINE® products include:
- viscose
- flax
- hemp
- LENZING™ Lyocell
- PLA
- recycled polyester
The majority of these are certified according to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® (16.0.90034 HOHENSTEIN HTTI | 22.HDE.87509 HOHENSTEIN HTTI) and labeled accordingly.
Our filter media for air, gases and liquids are labeled with the Norafin CRYSTALEN® brand.
Norafin CRYSTALEN® stands for nonwovens to filter gases and liquids. We supply filter media that optimize the product lifecycle, the filtration efficiency and operating costs.
The special properties of our filter nonwovens include
- homogeneity of the surface allows for an easier dedusting and increased filter efficiency
- improved efficiency of spunlaced nonwovens with lower area densities
- isotropic fiber orientation guarantees for high stability
- high-temperature-resistant solutions through the use of high-performance fibers
- pleatable filter media
- chemical and solvent resistance
- FDA/EU10 2011 compatible filter media
Thanks to the combination of our internal technology know-how we succeeded in developing our unique patented Norafin KOMANDA® technology, which gives unique performance characteristics to our nonwovens. Norafin KOMANDA® provides a range of high-grade fabrics that answer the market’s needs for a lightweight, re-usable, strong, durable and breathable material applied in flame resistant clothing.

The EXTRA ORGANIC® brand stands for our nonwovens, which are made purely from natural, biodegradable fibers.

Thanks to the natural raw materials and careful production without chemical binders, our natural fiber nonwoven is biodegradable and can be returned to the natural cycle.
