By using the skin-friendly VEOCEL™ Lyocell Skin fiber, our spunlace nonwovens are well suited for facial skin mask substrates and qualify themselves as high-quality material Made in Germany.
Clean & Safe
Fiber production using the waterjet process, which does not involve the use of any additional chemical binders, as well as monitoring of their purity through specialized testing methods.
VEOCEL™ brand fibers are clean and safe. They are suitable for products that come into contact with the skin. International standards, tests, and industry-recognized certifications* confirm this.
*The fibers have passed FKT’s rigorous compatibility tests, comply with OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 Product Class I, including Annex 6, and are certified by ISEGA.
Soft & Tender
VEOCEL™ Lyocell fibers are gentle on the skin and naturally soft, ensuring a comfortable feel.
Gauzy & Translucent
VEOCEL™ Lyocell Skin fibers become transparent when wet, thereby enhancing the comfort of the sheet mask on the skin.
Excellent liquid management
VEOCEL™ Lyocell fibers ensure even distribution of absorbed liquid, thereby improving liquid management in nonwoven fabrics.
Tear-resistant & Strong
VEOCEL™ Lyocell fibers offer high strength due to their unique properties. They are suitable for the production of lightweight fibers for nonwoven fabrics that exhibit high tensile strength in both dry and wet conditions.
Biodegradable
VEOCEL™ Lyocell fibers, derived from the natural material wood, are biodegradable in soil, freshwater, and marine environments; compostable* under industrial and household conditions; and return completely to nature.
* LENZING™ Lyocell fibers for nonwoven applications according to TÜV Austria: Biodegradable in soil for hydroentangled and needle-punched nonwovens; compostable in home composting for hydroentangled nonwovens up to 62 g/m²; industrially compostable for needle-punched nonwovens up to a maximum of 56 g/m² and for hydroentangled nonwovens up to a maximum of 62 g/m²
Unique features of our Norafin sheet masks
The special nonwovens for cosmetic facial sheet masks offer additional benefits compared to standard materials:
- High stability of the nonwoven in wet condition could make the use of strengthening structures (additional layers, binder, plastics etc.) redundant.
- Our spunlace technology provides an isotropic fiber orientation for stability in all directions.
- The pureness of the VEOCEL™ Lyocell Skin fiber as well as the chemical-free spunlace process make masking agents redundant.
- Besides the biodegradable VEOCEL™ Lyocell fiber*, we also offer natural fibers such as flax or hemp respectively their blends with Lyocell Skin as sustainable carrier materials.
Cellulosic standard products with viscose or lyocell are also possible.
* A range of LENZING™ Lyocell and Viscose fibers for nonwoven applications are certified by TÜV AUSTRIA to be biodegradable in soil, freshwater and marine conditions and compostable under home and industrial conditions. This claim is not applicable in California, U.S.A. and France.
Sheet masks are typical throw-away products. Each facial mask made of nonwovens produces unnecessary waste and pollutes the environment.
Already 15 years ago we started to process flax fibers and developed into a specialist in this field. Over the course of time we have added more natural raw materials to our product portfolio, such as hemp. Nonwovens made of natural fibers like flax have a high tear strength and absorption capacity and can be applied as base material for cosmetic facial sheet masks – in pure form or in combination with the VEOCEL™ Lyocell Skin fiber.

- Individual roll packaging from 50 running meters to roll widths up to 1.2 m.
- Customized widths from 80 mm up to 2,000 mm.
- Minimum order quantity under 50,000 m² possible.
